The Cricket Pages
A mid-life Exploration...
They add much more than the loss could ever take away. And we remember them always: Smiley, Dutch, Dusty, Molly, Maggie and your Brutis too.
If an animal can be a soul mate, Brutis was certainly mine. You’re right; they add so much more than their loss takes away. What a lovely way to express their importance to us. Thank you.
I’m just a softie about dogs. But Dutch (super smart shepherd) lives on as a “character” in my novels. Molly too but she came back as a beagle (our first Shih Tzu). Dogs provide me with inspiration and lots of humor to add to my writing.
Aw, I’m very sorry to hear this. Brutis looks a marvellous old boy 🙂 I am sure you miss him greatly, but I hope that in time your memories will become happier.
I have just read in my WP Reader a lovely poem called “I am always with you” about losing your best friend. If you wish to read it the link is

I loved the poem. Thank you for sending that link.
It’s a pleasure Granny 🙂
So sorry for your loss. I miss my “Shadow” all the time.
Thank you. I’ll miss Brutis for a long time to come. He was such a special gift to me and my life.
